1st Day of Teaching

Today is my frist day of teaching! I had been up late preparing my lesson and also woke up before the sun today to finish the lesson. To ease the tension i went for a run this morning only to find that living on a mountain can definently kick your a**. Needless to say i feel pretty prepared to teach the class, which will be a group of adults that are beginners. I observed the class previously in which they had difficulty pronouncing the word "fork".. it sounded like... well.. ya know. Anyway it should be very interesting to say the least! I heard a great song today when i was running that put a pep in my step, caused me to dance on the terrazza in the sunshine and in the kitchen while making lunch. Perhaps i will teach the song to the class tonight and will post it below for your enjoyment. The rest of day is spent doing lesson, teaching prep and then teaching tonight. Afterward i am going out for Tapas to hopefully celoebrate a successful completition of day 1 of teaching as the rest of my week will be very hectic. The things you are passionate about are always worth it in the end.

  2. Hey there chickadee!
I'm super excited for you! First day of classes- how fun!!! Make sure you don't snicker when they say "fork"!!

So you decided to go to tapas with the Norweigan folks? Give them a kick in the patootie for standing you and the other trainees up for dinner the other night! Maybe they can make it up to you by buying / making you dinner! Norweigan food isn't the greatest- they do eat fermented shark you know- so maybe going out to dinner would be best! haha

It was so nice to see your Spanish abode the other day! Your room is teeny tiny but very nice... views are amazing.

I told my roommates the story about that Spanish guy who thanked God when he saw you (insert Spanish man kissing his hand and then reaching to the sky). They thought it was hilarious! (Still want a picture of a large Spanish man pushing a small cart).

In speaking of pictures, thanks very much for the one of your cookies! They look scrumptious! How convenient that they are only 1 euro! Cheap AND delicious! What more could you ask for??

Careful when running around by yourself! While I'm sure you are being cautious, I figured I would say it anyway! Concerned big sisters have rights too you know!

Can't wait to see your face on Sunday :)

Love you like oodles and oodles of noodles!
    xoxo
